Record a payment and share the invoice
Once the customer pays, record it against the invoice so your reports and outstanding balances stay accurate.
Record a payment
- Open the invoice from Invoices.
- Click Record Payment.
- Enter the amount and choose the payment method: cash, card, FPX, bank transfer, cheque, or e-wallet.
- Save. The invoice status updates automatically — partially paid if the amount doesn't cover the total, paid when it does.
Partial payments are fine: record each payment as it comes in, and the invoice tracks the outstanding balance. All payments across all invoices are listed under Payments.
Share the invoice with the customer
From the invoice page you can:
- Share via WhatsApp — opens WhatsApp to the customer's number with the invoice details ready to send. This is the fastest option for Malaysian customers.
- Print — opens a clean print view for a physical copy or save-as-PDF.
The WhatsApp button uses the phone number on the customer's record and handles the +60 country code automatically — make sure the number saved is their WhatsApp number.
On the FREE plan, printed and shared invoices carry a small BengkelDay watermark. It disappears on paid plans — see Plans, trial, and upgrading.
