Plan limits explained (why can't I…?)
If a button won't work or an invite won't send, you've most likely hit one of your plan's limits. Here's what each one means — and the important part: hitting a limit never deletes or locks your existing data. It only stops you adding more.
The limits at a glance
| Limit | FREE | STARTER | PRO | ENTERPRISE |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Job cards / month | 50 | 300 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Team members | 1 | 2 | 5 | Unlimited |
| Customers | 150 | 300 | 1,000 | Unlimited |
| Inventory items | 50 | 200 | 500 | Unlimited |
| Storage (photos) | 500 MB | 2 GB | 10 GB | 50 GB |
"Why can't I create a job card?"
The job card limit resets every month. On FREE you get 50 per month — if you've used them, you can still view and work existing job cards; new ones unlock on the 1st of next month, or immediately when you upgrade.
"Why can't I invite another team member?"
You've reached your plan's user count. FREE is single-user; STARTER adds one more. Deactivating a former staff member frees their seat.
"Why can't I add a customer / inventory item?"
Same pattern — you're at the cap. Existing records are untouched; you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or remove unused ones.
"Why can't I upload photos?"
Your storage is full. Photos on existing job cards remain viewable; new uploads resume when you free up space or move to a plan with more storage.
"My trial ended — where did feature X go?"
The 14-day trial runs on PRO. When it ends you move to FREE automatically, so PRO-only features (advanced reports, automated reminders) are hidden and FREE limits apply. Nothing was deleted — upgrade any time and everything is exactly where you left it. Details in Plans, trial, and upgrading.
